Share your Stories for Change as part of Climate Week

Scotland’s Climate Week 2024 will run from 23-29 September – a chance to celebrate the positive climate action being taken across the country.

This year’s theme is "Stories for Change" which aims to encourage individuals, communities, and organisations to share their personal experiences and actions of what they’re doing to adapt to and combat climate change.

The Climate Change Committee has estimated that 62% of the changes needed to tackle climate change can only happen with societal or individual behaviour change. Sharing stories is a powerful tool for connecting people and inspiring this necessary collective action.

We want to promote the great work that Community Councils are doing to help protect the environment and reach net zero. If you have a story you want to share, please contact scottishccs@improvementservice.org.uk to feature in our upcoming case studies. You can also share your own climate change stories on social media using the #ScotClimateWeek hashtag.

The Scottish Government has provided free resources which you can use to spread the word about Climate Week within your own community.
