Celebrate your local football heritage with lottery funding

Local Heritage Grants of up to £1,500 are available to help communities in Scotland celebrate their local football heritage.

The Local Heritage Grants have been made possible with the support of the players of The National Lottery and The Heritage Fund as part of the Football For All project. This will culminate with a series of local projects in different parts of Scotland to mark the 200th anniversary of the oldest documented football club in the world - The Foot-Ball Club in Edinburgh.

Groups could research, highlight, and celebrate local football heritage through a range of activities which could include photographic displays, plays, musicals, heritage trails, digital projects, learning and engagement and more.

A total of 15 grants will be made available and can be applied for by any group or organisation in Scotland with a formal constitution.

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on September 30th 2024 and the awards will be announced on 31st October 2024. Projects must be completed between February - August 2025.

For more information, including how to apply, check out the Football For All website.
